Envy Cartridges

Tattoo artists create tattoos using either needles, also known as “needles-on-bar”, or cartridges. In 2017 with the number of cartridge users on the rise, TATSoul launched Envy Tattoo Cartridges. This launch would further the goal of positioning TATSoul as the first company in tattooing that had tools for artists who specialized in every style of tattooing. I collaborated with product development to identify groupings based on artist’s needs, as well as in creating a unique color system for both the packaging and product housing for easy identification. I leveraged the reputation that the Envy needle-on-bar line had built and pushed “the best needles in tattooing in cartridge form”. Rather than the widely seen, plain color backgrounds or something artificial, the photography direction for the marketing collateral would showcase the product “in use” or in a tattoo shop as a way to connect to artists.

  • Standard

    The best all-purpose needle and the widest selection. Perfect for any style of tattooing! Available in an extensive variety of configurations, featuring a long taper and polished pins.

  • Apex - Hollow

    The need for speed! Hollow needles offer fast ink flow and generate crisp lines. Because additional ink is being held without the center pin, artists can line faster, causing less trauma to the client’s skin.

  • Textured

    For saturation and color packing. When you have to fill in the blanks! Textured needles contain microscopic groves, allowing the groupings to hold more ink and leading to increased saturation.

  • Traditional

    Go bold or go home! These needles are designed for traditional-style work. The liners are grouped looser for bolder lines and the magnum needles are textured with a short taper for ultimate saturation.

  • Bugpin

    For fine lines, smooth blends, and details, details, details! These are smaller gauged, tighter-grouped needles ( an industry first #9!) They are ideal for portrait work, black & grey, and soft blending.

Banners of various shapes and sizes were created to be displayed at events. “Sampler” boxes differed from free sample packs, in that these were full-size boxes that could be customized, versus purchasing an entire box of one size. Postcards put in orders featured testimonials and selling points.

Digital marketing assets were deployed in various forms and every SKU featured a microscopic image with exact specifications displayed in multiple formats.
